My Trip to Cuba:
Last spring break, our
band teacher had decided to take the band to Cuba! It was definitely
one of the coolest things that ever happened to me!!!
Cubans really love their
rum! Me and the other students had soon discovered that alcohol
was sold to anyone one in the band (either they have a very low minimum
drinking age, or none at all). So we spent our week smoking cigars
and drinking rum which was even sold at fast food establishments.
Dancing is very popular
in Cuba. Almost every night, we went to a dance club. Me and
my friend went to one outside of the hotel and discovered that being white
in Cuba has its advantages. Girls threw themselves at us left and
right! Of course it would have made the trip much more ummm... interesting
if we were alowed to take them up to the hotel room.
Performances
were awesome. We performed outside in city squares to hundreds of
people who were all cheering for us. We were also priveledged enough
to play in some of the finest theatres in Cuba!
