Welcome to Alex's Page

This is a page about me and things which I think are cool.  Now a little about myself:
I'm an 18 year old guy from British Columbia, Canada.  Some of my favourite things to do are Skiing (been doing it since I was 3), hiking, driving my car and Dancing!  I like to travel too!  Spring break '98, I went to Cuba!   I like all kinds of music.  Theres not many things I won't listen to.

MY OLDCAR:
Here's a pic of my old car -an '83 VW Rabbit.  I painted it myself, taking 2 weeks to do it!  I can definitely say it got just as many looks driving down the road as a classic 'Vette.  Unfortunetally, my car was sideswiped by a school bus (talk about a scary experience).

Now I'm planning on salvaging the remains of my Rabbit and turning it into a Dune buggy :-)  I hope to maintain a wide wheel base and keep the car below 50 inches in height. I'll post a pic when and if I finnish it.

Here Is a pic of my NEW CAR!!!
Its a '92 Plymouth Laser RS.   This 'lil car has 140 hp 2.0L DOHC engine with multi-port EFI fuel injection.  This pic was taken between Banff and Jasper National Parks.
....My friend Bob is the casual looking one on the left, then my brother -Bernie   and then of course, me!

My Trip to Cuba:

Last spring break, our band teacher had decided to take the band to Cuba!  It was definitely one of the coolest things that ever happened to me!!!
Cubans really love their rum!   Me and the other students had soon discovered that alcohol was sold to anyone one in the band (either they have a very low minimum drinking age, or none at all).  So we spent our week smoking cigars and drinking rum which was even sold at fast food establishments.
Dancing is very popular in Cuba.  Almost every night, we went to a dance club.  Me and my friend went to one outside of the hotel and discovered that being white in Cuba has its advantages.  Girls threw themselves at us left and right!  Of course it would have made the trip much more ummm... interesting if we were alowed to take them up to the hotel room.
Performances were awesome.  We performed outside in city squares to hundreds of people who were all cheering for us.  We were also priveledged enough to play in some of the finest theatres in Cuba!

Here's a pic of my friend Giacomo (yes thats his real name) and well equiped suitcase of goodys!
